I am always impressed with Jade Rabbit, and it remains one of my favorites in Portland. The chef and his team make these dishes with so much creativity and respect for the cultures expressed in the food. The flavors are fresh and deeply satisfying. Whenever I have a veg friend in town, Jade Rabbit is a definite go-to because vegan dim sum is rather special. But, I'd be equally quick to recommend to non-veg friends who are foodies because I know they'd love it.

All of it (food, service, ambiance) was way more than I expected...okay, well mostly the food, which, is remarkable. It's hard to properly describe just how complex and delicious these amazing vegan dishes (and we tried pretty much all of them) could be! Everything was clearly prepared with love and executed perfectly....honestly, this level of excellence is usually found in places like Toronto or New York...Portland is so damn lucky to have such a great place! And we are so grateful to have Jade Rabbit in our back yard

This place is amazing. Not thrifty, but well worth it. I mean, vegan dimsum? I'd been searching for that for years and relegated the thought to pipe dream status. But then, I moved right down the street from the very place I'd given up on *and* it has decor that would make set designers for a high society 1920s movie blush? What? Is this real? The food is beyond what I was hoping for, the tea excellent, and they even distill their own grain. Unbelievable. The bartender/host is super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. Seriously, just go there. Make a reservation if it's for the weekend or at night.

Scrumptious food, cozy setup, and friendly service. It's better to have a reservation else you might be able to get a seat on the bar counter. Small food menu, but everything we tried was delicious. The portions size is good for an adult. The tofu main course was heavenly. I would go back just for that. Bao is inviting and my name is on it during my next visit. I would recommend them to everybody who wants to experience vegan food scene in Portland. They are definitely a wise addition.
